This workshop will help you to find your archival records more efficiently and use these records better for your academic work. It is open for students from all fields. No previous knowledge is assumed but there will be enough time for specific and individual questions for more experienced students. Parts of the workshop will be held by a Slovenian expert for the situation of archives in Ex-Yugoslavia.

We will explore the world of archives and their life-cycle. We will also discuss how to approach archives, how to plan and prepare a visit. Using finding aids and the records themselves will be given ample time. The value and the validity of original sources will be evaluated. Additionally, we will discuss how to organize and use the results of your research.
